On December 4th, the Governing Board of the Valencian Association of Plastics Entrepreneurs (AVEP) was held at the ALCION PACKAGING SOLUTIONS facilities in Aldaia. The group of entrepreneurs visited the production plant where more than 300,000 plastic containers (bottles, jerrycans, caps and complements) are manufactured daily using different technologies, intended for the agro-industrial and cosmetic sectors mainly.

Along the day, important issues for the sector were discussed and, on this occasion, ALCION was the host of the entrepreneurs in the plastics processors sector of the Valencian Community.

In its facilities of more than 15,000 m2 located in Aldaia ALCION PACKAGING SOLUTIONS produces, through an extensive machinery park, a multitude of plastic containers such as bottles, jerrycans, caps and dossing caps by means of blown extrusion, blown stretched injection and injection, counting, additionally with three screen printing lines. It transforms a wide variety of raw materials HDPE, PP, PVC, PET, multilayer materials,...

ALCION is considered in the market as a leading company in the manufacture of multilayer packaging with barrier layer with an activity developped along its 74 years of activity. This technological variety also allows ALCION to serve other markets such as food, though in a residual way, as its specialty is UN approved barrier containers, which allows the company to be supplier of the largest multinationals in the agro sector.

The company has its own laboratory and is ISO certified in 9001 and 14001, working now to get OSHAS certification very soon.

It has a warehouse of 7,000 positions, tool and mould making area and an R+D+I department where state-of-the-art projects related to the chemical barrier, recyclability or sustainability of packaging among many others are managed.

It devotes a very significant part of its activity to export and stands out for the technical solvency and expertise generated by its almost 75 years of continuous activity.
